Printing Options for Barbecue Sauce Labels
There are two ways we print custom labels: flexographic and digital. Both printing techniques produce beautiful results, however, one may be a better fit for your order depending on your needs. Below are some label considerations to help you choose a printing method that’s right for your barbecue sauce labels.
- A cost-effective option for small businesses and startups, short run labels (i.e. 100 – 10,000 labels) are printed on a digital label press because the setup time/cost is less than a flexographic press.
- Flexographic label presses can print high volumes at a faster rate than digital which is ideal for more large-scale operations.
- Multiple designs and variable data (such as related product lines and consecutive numbers, respectively) are easier to print with a digital label press because printing plates don’t need to be made since digital presses use a computerized system.
- Most labels can be produced with four color process inks (CMYK), however, customization options like cold foil stamping and 12 color printing (or 11 colors + a finish) are only available through flexographic. Digital presses can print up to 10 colors (or nine colors + a finish) for full color, photographic-quality images.
