Custom Labels

Consolidated Label prints custom labels for a wide variety of products including food labels, candle labels, personal care labels, medical labels, bottle labels and more. These custom labels are created according to specific customer specifications of dimension, color, and an approved piece of artwork.

Printing a custom label for the first time requires an initial setup cost, which includes the purchase of a die and plate for the specific label. This is a one-time fee if the customer plans on printing this label repeatedly. Because of this, custom labels are most economical when large quantities are known to be necessary.

In most cases, a four-color printing process is utilized to create custom labels. Filters and screens are used to divide the label into four different colors: cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The image is created on the label by transferring the colors to the printing plates and running the press. Other methods in which additional colors are used do exist, but the four-color printing process is easily the most common.
