Piggyback Labels

If you have a sweepstakes or promotion that requires your customer to reply, piggyback labels are the way to go. Piggyback labels have two layers - the peel-off layer and the base layer which is affixed to your letter, postcard, etc. Both layers have adhesive applied. Piggyback labels are commonly used in credit card offers where the customer selects the card design they'd like, and affixes it to an offer acceptance card. Piggyback labels can be repositionable, if desired. A custom die is always required for piggyback labels.

Piggyback Label Tips

There are a variety of applications for piggyback labels.
  • Sweepstakes, promotions, business reply cards, returns, and product registrations are just a few examples of piggyback label uses.
  • Nested piggyback labels make it easier for your customer to see the peel and stick labels because the top label (the peel off) is slightly smaller than the base label.
  • With flush cut labels, both layers are cut to the same size. This style can make it more difficult for your customer to remove the peel-off layer.
  • You can add a tab to flush cut labels to make it easier to remove the peel off layer of the piggyback labels.
