Consolidated Label Co. Celebrates 30 Years of Business

Sanford, Fla. — Consolidated Label Company, a leading manufacturer of custom labels in the United States, is celebrating 30 years of business this October since President Joel Carmany purchased a fledgling label printing business in Longwood, Fla. In 1984, the company had just six employees and basic equipment. Fast forward to present day, Consolidated Label is an award-winning company that operates out of a newly renovated 170,000 square-foot facility with over 200 employees and 15 label presses in Sanford, Fla.

Before purchasing Consolidated Label, Carmany worked as a sales manager for General Electric. His enthusiasm for making customers happy and his years of sales experience helped him to develop a small direct sales force. Within 18 months, the company was able to purchase its first high-end flexographic label press thus opening new opportunities and attracting more customers. “It’s been incredible to see the company evolve over these years into what it is today. None of this would be possible without our customers and dedicated employees – several who have been with us since the beginning,” noted Carmany.

Although its technology and capabilities have changed, Consolidated Label’s customer-centric philosophy is as relevant today as it was in 1984. The company plans on celebrating its anniversary on October 23rd and 24th with a luncheon for all shifts where commemorative gifts and raffle prizes will be given.
